This type of stone was formed 2 billion years ago. The stone has high chemical stability and excellent heat resistance.
In ancient times, its heat-accumulating properties were used by the local population for pricing baths, furnaces and fireplaces.
Talkochlorite easily withstands multiple heating cycles up to 1200 degrees without any change in its structure.

The accumulated heat from the talkochlorite sauna stone is long and evenly distributed. When water is poured over the steam in a sauna or bath, talkochlorite produces a very soft and pleasant steam that no other stone can match.

Thanks to this rare characteristic, the material has been widely used in Finland for more than 100 years in the construction of baths and fireplaces.
