Description

STS is elegantly modern sauna panelling with characteristic narrow square grooves between the panelling. The STS profile can also be perfectly combined with other special profiles to create striking contrasts. Thermally modified aspen has a distinctive reddish-brown hue that looks majestic and dignified. Thermal modification preserves the beautiful structure of the wood but retains a pleasant, slightly sweet, characteristic smell. Thermal modification gives the wood many valuable properties - making it more stable and resistant to environmental influences. It also reduces the moisture content and thermal conductivity of the wood, making it particularly suitable for saunas. Thermally modified wood is ideal for residential applications as no chemicals or other additives are used in the thermal modification process, only high temperatures. Heat treatment is a natural, eco-friendly way to improve wood.
