The cast iron core is durable and long-lasting, and does not crack or shrink with sudden temperature changes.

It is not recommended to fill the stove completely with cast iron balls, as the steam from the iron is very hot and dry. To balance the moisture content and obtain a soft steam, stones should also be added to the stove.

The ratio of cast iron balls should be approximately 30/70 in favour of natural stone.
